can anyone tell me how add a cycle start and a pause shortcut to my keyboard?
thanks paul

If you are using the default screen it should already have shortcuts set up for Start and Feed Hold.
If you wish to use different keys then you would have to alter the screenset to use these keys.
Personally I dislike HotKeys as they are a thing from the past when I/O was a problem but that is just my opinion :)

Thanks Hood
what i want to do is operate a keyboard at the other end of my machine
10 ft away from my controller.
this is a woodworking router
so i need to be able to operate the start and hold from there
dont want to have to run back to the controller
so i need to do this from the keyboard
i have a long cable for my keyboard.
on this keyboard i can jog and use the up down keys
but not the cycle start and feed hold
not sure how to set this up
thanks again

According to what I could find, Alt/R is Cycle Start & Spacebar is pause in the standard mill screen set. Haven't tried it m'self and I'm at work. Try it & post back.:)

I just googled Mach3 keyboard shortcuts & found a link to the list which I assume is stored somewhere on the forum. Easy-peasy.

Hello Hood and friends,
I use an external buttons to feed hold and Start cycle in mach 3.
Sometimes, when i press the feed hold button to stop motion and press again start cycle it seem that the machine lost the position and goes out of programmed path.
I dont remember my mach 3 version.
Can you advice a reliable version that i can replace??
Regsrds,.
