Title: Lazycut won't open .dxf file
Post by: monzon on June 25, 2014, 02:43:43 PM
Y have a drawing in Autocad, and saved it as a .dxf file. My intention is to cut that piece in a router, but I don't understand why I can't open it in Lazycut to turn it in to a gcode.
When ever I try to do it Lazycut just stop responding. I'm not sure if it is a program installation problem or if the drawing has some kind of herror.
Please help!!!!!! ??? ??? ??? y really need to solve this at work.
I'm attaching file to see if someone can do it.
Thank you very much!!!

Save as a version 12 .dxf file. LazyCAM (and a lot of other CAM programs) can't open newer version .dxf files.

I don't think that LazyCam is capable of opening 3D drawings.

Wondering what version of Autocad are you using?

As replied by others it needs to be a 2D drawing and saved as a Version 12 DXF.
There is a manual in Member's Doc's for LazyCam. Read it and don't try hacking away at the program.

The file you uploaded is not a .dxf and is a version newer than 2007, which is what I have in my laptop here, so I can't open it.
