Title: Mach 3 configuring
Post by: manofgresley on June 05, 2014, 10:31:07 AM
Hi all.

I am a newbie to all things CNC. I have converted a HOBBYMAT BFE 65 Milling m/c to CNC control, i have downloaded the trial software for Mach3. Following the instructions for setting up the configuration, all has gone well except one thing, my Z & X axis are running smoothly, but my Y axis motor just Judders when i select it in JOG. I have checked all the wiring etc; i have power, and the dip switches are set to the makers settings for running my motors @ 4.2 amp before i go deaper without much knowledge, as anyone had a similar experience / countermeasure.

Regards

Ray

What I would do is swap the pin assignment, in Mach, for the bad axis with one of the good ones to see if the bad axis now runs fine.
