Title: phase converter error when I stop spindle <<HELP
Post by: Learn on May 17, 2014, 08:06:18 AM
If I am doing manual work and I shut off the spindle the phase converter errors out making me go behind the machine and hit the rest button . ??? not sure if this was an issue with the old owner as he had a different converter on it . long story short the old owner switched it to a single phase so I could run it in my garage )

any and all help is greatly appreciated

Most VFDs show an error code an the manual will tell you what the error code means. If your spindle slows down real fast it may be regenerating and cause an over voltage condition if it doesn't have a braking resistor.  That can be fixed by reducing the deceleration rate.
