Title: codes manual
Post by: rikduk on May 13, 2014, 07:51:12 PM
I tried searching, found nothing,
is there a pdf or manual that states every M, S and G command and their function?
I like to play a little bit with my post processor to have a faster machine, but i dont know what a few mean ( M22, S900, etc.)

Thanks

Try the Mach3 manual.

Also the default mill screen has a button that will give you a description of G Code and one for M codes.
As far as I am aware there is no M22 in Mach.

Thanks for the answers! I'll check into it,
as far as M22, i'm running MP3000-DTHCII-DCC-HyT+scriber-8 post in sheetcam, and it appears a lot in the code.

That post will be specifically for that particular THC.
If you have that THC hardware then  you likely have a custom macro for your it, have a look in your macro folder for the profile you use and you should see a m22.m1s file.
If you open it in the VB editor, or even notepad++ or notepad you will be able to see what it actually does.

If you dont have that  hardware then almost certainly the M22 will be be worthless for you as you wont have the macro.

Regarding M22 code for HyperTherm:

This code is used by Mach 3 to provide a temporary pause to allow the proper settings to be set in Mach 3 for plasma cutting.
