You check the CAD/CAM layout 100 times, you check the engraved part, you screw it up – stand back to admire and bang the mistake is obvious. :'(
Tweakie.
-
Have to assume you sawed through it? Cause I have no idea what it says.
Nice clean graphics work your providing.
-
Thanks Craig. ;D
(Perhaps I should have taken the full picture - it's the annotation for my 'Weather Stone' and the black line is the string suspending the actual stone).
Tweakie.
addendum: It gets worse - only since looking at it again here, I have noticed there is more than one mistake ;D ;D
-
The suspense was killing me. I almost bit first ... THANKS Craig ;D
It does look very nice Tweakie, was looking for a typo but am not familiar with that particular lingo. All looks spelt rite to me. ;)
Thanks,
Russ

Slightly out of plumb ? ? or, is there a breeze ?
Russ
-
I make no excuses fellas - it was a holiday weekend, with friends around, and we all had a modicum of beers before we set about this project.
Yes Russ, out of plumb as well ;D
Tweakie.
-
Tweakie,
I'm pretty sure I see the mistake(s), and the beers are certainly an acceptable excuse, but then I'll not be the one to spoil your party. ;D
All the Best,
John Champlain

What beems to be the soblem Tweakie?
Brett
-
So you plumbed it holding a long neck bottle?
hell... close enough then.
-
Looks like the order might be unconventional ... or mismatched. ? ?
That little bit of pure English looks out of place as well. ? ?
Other than that, it looks gurty pood.

It's so OBVIOUS. Tweak used flat blade steel screws, when CLEARLY he should have used stainless button-head socket cap screws. C'mon guys.....
-
Thanks guys. ;D ;D ;D
Tweakie.
-
The machine screws were in one of his many hoarding jars, where he only had enough funds to get either the SS Button Heads Cap Screws or Beer, guess what won. :D
Proving another good mans rule "Don't throw away anything that might be used in a future project". You never want to dip into your BEER MONEY
Good catch Sam
-
Y'all forced me into engraving it again. This time GEEN BIEREN !! ;D ;D ;D
Tweakie.
-
This time GEEN BIEREN !! ;D ;D ;D
LOL - you sure Tweakie? - there looks to be STILL one mistake to me...
-
It's.......so much clearer to us now. The veil is lifted. Heck, I'll bite.....what's the difference?
Strangely enough, I did notice that the screws in the first pic were not lined up with each other. I see you fixed that. Makes for a cleaner look. Then again, maybe its the obsessive compulsive disorder.
-
I think it's right now Ian - but perhaps I should have had at least one beer. ;)
The mistakes were grammatical Sam I missed the spaces. :'(
ie. 'Open' should have been 'Op en' ('Up and' as opposed to Up'n).
OCD rules the day, perhaps I should see the Doc. ;D
Tweakie.
-
perhaps I should see the Doc.
I was meaning my OCD for even recognizing it in the first pic, but I see that it must have bothered you too, cause you fixed it. HA! I guess we both need to see the doc. I'm sure they "have a pill for that", just like they do for everything.
Ahhhhh grammatics. No wund er we amuricuns didnt pick up on it. Heck, I was straining my brain. Maybe he mounted it under a gutter. Maybe its on a leeward wall. Maybe there's no rock on the end of the line.....the list went on.

;D

Ek is seker dat jy korrek is Tweakie maar is jy seker die sneeu korrek gespel. ;D
-
Sneew / Sneeuw - You have got me Ian because I am not quite sure and need to take expert advice on that one but the language certainly differs from the north to the south of the country. ;D
Tweakie.
-
Twas just when I was using google translate to try to find the original problem. I missed the "Op en" but thought it was the spelling of snow. According to translate - it's sneeu. But then Afrikaans is all Greek to me so I haven't a clue really ;D
