Title: Table display
Post by: noclinkers on April 26, 2014, 04:18:12 AM
I recently bought a Bulltear Industries 4x4 plasma table.  I am new to this and the table and software came ready to use, so I am not too familiar yet on how to adjust things.

I am having some issues with my table display.

As I am reading up, I've found there are no homing switches on the x y axis, only on the z. I guess that is common with some hobby tables. When I import my gcode the image does not appear on the table display, but off to the side. Even when I regen the tool path the torch will take off to parts unknown?

Any help would be awesome!

For table display to work properly, you really need home switches.
A workaround is to jog to the 0,0 corner of your table, and ref the X and Y axis, to set machine zero there. You also need to configure Soiftlimits, which define the size of the table.

You'll probably need to periodically re Ref the X and Y axis, as they'll move a little each time you turn the machine off.

Thanks Gerry,
When I try to use the ref on axis x and y the gantry wants to run off the table. Is this due to the soft limits being incorrect and do you know a good tutorial on how to set them properly ?
Thamks agian!

Then you have home switches enabled in ports and pins > Input pins.
Disable any home switches if you don't have any.
