Title: shuttlepro plugin
Post by: archimaide on March 15, 2007, 03:15:57 AM
Hello everybody,

I'm new new on this forum because I never had any problem with the Mach software.

But I have a shuttlepro since some years for video editing, but it comes from "Hercules" ( www.hercules.com ).
When i try to make it work in Mach3, nothing happens. I don't know what to do to make it work.
The vendor ID for my device is :

USB\VID_0B33&PID_0011&REV_0100
USB\VID_0B33&PID_0011

Can somebody help me to make it work?

Besr regards

I don't know if the old ones are going to work :( The hardware ID is not the same and I don't even know if the data is in the same order... Best thing you can do is get a new one for mach3.

Sorry about that
Brian

Is the shuttlepro version 2 the only model that works with the plugin written for mach3??   Or does the silver shuttlepro work with it?

Yes it is the only one that works well

Regarding Cont/ Inc mode for the center ring.

It defaults to Continuous mode. Can I make it default to Incremental?

Reasons are twofold.

I use the outer ring for continuous type movement and use the inner ring for sneaking up on edges etc.

I would prefer to not devote a button to select Incremental.

In other words I only want it to work as Incremental and not Continuous.

There is not a setting for that :( but you could set Mach 3 to be in inc mode by default (just change it on the tab screen) and I think that will do it. Or are you talking about the center dial? If so we would have to change that in the plugin.
thanks

OK Brian can I make a request that the option to have Incremental as the default be included.  ;D

I knew you were going to do that! ;) I don't have a shuttle at this time so I have no way of testing it :( I will see if I can order a new one at some point.

Thanks

Hi, Brian,

I also would like to add my vote to the request that the inner knob be selectively made incremental. It just makes sense: you jog coarse with the outer ring, and then you sneak up on the touch-off with the inner ring. That would be a great addition to the Plugin!

Thanks!

It is in the plugin at this point. you need to set one of the buttons to swap the mode.
