I'm working through the "Mach3 CNC Controller Software Installation and Configuration" guide that's available on the Artsoft website. I'm at paragraph 3.1 "screens".
The text says that there's a red reset button. I see that.
It also says that there is a red/green LED above it and some yellow LEDs lit.
What I see is a red reset button and two concentric red/green flashing rectangles around the button. No LEDs anywhere near the button.
When I click the reset button, nothing changes. Still have the flashing rectangles.
So, I don't know that I'm "ready for action", as it states is the result of success.
Is the guide outdated?
thanks, rex

When you start Mach, it defaults to the EStop state for safety.\Normally, you'd have a latching estop button that is normally closed.
When the circuit to a given input pin goes low, in will go into estop.
If you want to clear the estop with out having the button hooked up, go to ports and pins and change the activ state of the input. Then you can reset it.

I'm in ports and pins, but don't see anything about the estop input.

Sorry, click the Input Signals tab then scroll dwn.

btw, that is the newer manual but it was sort of a rewrite of the Mach2 manual. The yellow LED's are in reference to the older screen I believe.
Slightly incorrect.

OK, that did it. The rectangles stopped blinking, but as you say, there are no LEDs.
thanks much!

The rectangles ARE the LEDs. They're slightly larger than the button and placed "behind" the button.
