Title: dir pulse length
Post by: luckym on March 09, 2007, 01:23:41 PM
Hello.
What does dir pulse mean  in the motor tunning setting? Is it time between dir output change and step impulse?
thanks for reply

I would imagine that it is simply the length of time of the direction pulse.

That is a good question..  I am not sure what that is there for any way. The direction pulse is sort of a misnomer. The direction pulse doesn't really pulse, it just goes high for forward and low for reverse.  I suppose if you were going back and forth 2 stepper pulses on the step then you might need to add some time but that would be a very rare instance.   I wonder if it has something to do with macx nc mode or something..

I've tried to change the value and look at the signal with oscilloscope. But nothing happens. There is some time before step pulse (20us) is it possible to change it?
