Title: Cannot get homing and limits to work
Post by: bobbya47 on March 08, 2007, 06:39:51 PM
I am using two inputs. One for x++ and x-- with switches in series and the other for the y axis. The x ++ and y ++ limits double as home switches. The problem is when I home the y axis hits the limit and stops then the x axis does the same. I then trip on a limit switch triggered. Neither axis comes off the switch. Second problem is limit overide does not work. When I hit the switch the red led blinks and goes out. The autolimit over ride does not work. The green led comes on but nothing happens. I am tripping on a logic high signal. The machine operates fine when cutting.

Have you set a denounce? Sounds like you need to have about 1500 to start with

You set this under the General configs and I think it is in the upper right

There it is!

The documentation should be updated to reflect this.... according to the PDF on the website where is a "logic" config screen.

A side question... should an optical switch need debouncing?

Thanks!

Yes if there is any mechanical bounce at all in the system the computer will pick it up...
