Just wondering if anyone out there has an XML file for MaxNC's MAXPATH42.

Have you considered creating one?

I'm trying to.  I convinced a friend he should convert to Mach3, but I hadn't considered that I don't have any documentation on the pinouts for the MaxPath 42 controller.

I'm searching for that info now.  If/When I get it done, I'll post it in the Downloads section.

Have you tried the connections on the ftp for the other Max types?

I was looking at the ftp download pages just now.  I found several interesting documents there.  There are also XML files for other MaxNC machines.  I was going to download them to possibly use as a starting point, but can't figure out how to download them....yet.

Depending on the browser you are using it will be something like, right click the xml you want then choose Save Linked Content As or maybe Save Target As,

That was too easy.   I was trying to make it much harder ;-)

Thanks Hood!

OK.  I'm making headway on the XML for the Maxpath42.  One thing in particular is a problem.  The Maxpath42 limit/home switches use only two inputs. One for Positive and one for negative with the three switches (X,Y&Z) wired in series.  This works OK for Homing, because only one axis moves at a time.  However, the Verify function has a problem with this setup.  Since all the axes move at once, the first one to trip the Home/Limit switch causes the system to think that all axes have hit their respective switch.

Is there a way to get the Verify function to perform like the Ref All function and only move one axis at a time?

OK, I've got a working XML file for the MAXPATH42.

I've uploaded it to the "Downloads" section if anyone would like a copy.
