Post by: fly-scale on January 31, 2014, 05:09:51 AM
Hi all,

I want to start to retrofit my Matsuura MV-500
I Want to use Mach3
has anybody experience what is the best way?
Has anybody accomplished an projekt with this components?

The Servopacks are Yaskawa CPCR-MR052 GC
The Feedback Units are Yaskawa TFUE-08ZC7
The Spindle Drive is Yaskawa CPCR-QR-CB8D

All other i/o 's are easy

any helps makes me happy :-)

Your drives will almost certainly be analogue command, that means you will need an external controller to allow you to use Mach.
I use the CSMIO/IP-A and it works exceptionally well.
The others are DSPMC,  Kflop/Kanalog, Galil.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

CSMIO/IP-A i have seen @ the german Mach3 dealer. it looks great.
nice to hear that it works :-)
Do you use the same Yaskawa 's?

Do you have wiring dokumentation

thanks

No I have Telemecanique Lexium drives on my Chiron. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JS9mh_iMing
What wiring documents are you meaning? for the CSMIO or the drives or the Matsuura?

If you do a google search for
CPCR-MR manual

and

CPCR-QR manual

you should get the manuals for them.

Thas correct, but the Manual you will find is the TSE-C717-12 xx and this does not match with the CPC-MR052GC axis servo drive;-(

Afraid I dont, only one I have here, apart from the one you mentioned, is for CPCR-MR***K
Not sure if it will be any use or not but here is a link.

Hello,
page 6 shown i/o, but this is not the same like in pdf i have attached.

the Servo drive has 4 relevant connectors.

1CN
2CN
3CN
5CN

4CN is only internal Servodrive Connection.

in TSE-C717-13E page 6 for example the Tacho is connected to 1CN-6 & 1CN-12
in Yaskawa Doc49 it is on 2CN-1 & 2CN-20

i think, later i have to check the right connector in the machine. i have no other idea to come a step forward.

Hello fly-scale;

I just purchased 2 Matsuura MC-500 mini-master machines.  I plan to retrofit to Mach3 and KFLOP/KAnalog.  This may be a good opportunity to collaborate and save some headaches for both of us.  I am going through the manuals for the Yaskawa drives at this time.  I will keep you up to date on my plans.

Hi,
Perfect.

Please take a Look to The spindle and spindle Drive. There i have nothing at this Moment.

Today i was happy to find out The Most for xyz drives and toolchange.
I make a new wiring Diagramm an Post it here.

Do you want clean The wiring Chaos or do you want use this?

Hello,

I will scan and post the wiring diagrams that I have tomorrow (after the snow).  I will also add links for all of the documents and other posts I have found.

Hi Kist,

do you have any idea to connect the XYZ Encoders?

regards

Hello,

Yes, I will connect the X,Y and Z encoders to the KFLOP/KAnalog to close the loop.  The encoders have a reference (home) channel as well.  I still need to think about how this will be used or if it is needed.  I will let you know after I get my machines in the lab and start taking them apart.

Index homing is the best thing to do, it is very accurate and is how the vast majority of Industrial machines home.
I do not know if the kflop supports it, likely you will have to write your own code to do it. The CSMIO/IP-A does support index homing, here is a video of me showing the accuracy of it.

Hi Kist, do you have anything about thwe spindle drive? i will finish the wiring diagram.

CS LAb has an converter :-) for the Encoders

"Dear sir,
In our offer we have 8 - channels converter which changes unsymmetrical signal (non differential)  5V or 24V to symmetrical (differential) signal 5V.
Especially for you we can adapt it to 12V. Then you can use your current encoders."

Hey Fly-Scale;

My spindle Drive is a CPCR-QR756SC-4K.  It is 220VAC-3Phase and accepts a +/-10VDC Control.  The Spindle motor has a resolver that is used for speed and position feedback.  Speed is used by the SERVOPACK and the position is used is used during the tool change process.  I have an excel file with a list of all the switches, relays and solenoids.  I am adding the spindle and servo wiring as well.  I will post as soon as I am done.

I am still looking at converting my unit over to 220VAC (Single Phase).  The servo drives are already 220VAC and I am planning on switching to a VFD for the spindle drive.  It all depends on how I decide to interface the ATC and how soon I decide to get the ATC working.

Hi Kist,

Do you have anything about CPCR-QR-CB8D
This is The Last i Need to Start rebuild

CPCR-QR-CB8D is the circuit board designation, the ServoPack Model Number is below that is a white box next to the word "TYPE" and it will be CPCR-QR*********x-*********.  This is the number you need to get the pinout from the Yaskawa manual.

Good Hunting.
