Anybody have a card working with Windows 7? I know if you don't have the right card, you can't do the proper functions on it to have Mach 3 work.

If you are meaning W7 64Bit then you can not use the parallel port as the driver is only for 32bit OS's.
For a 64bit OS you will need an external controller.

And a good controller would be...

All depends what you want from a controller.
For me I use servos on fairly big machines, I want 24v I/O and lots of them, if Step/Dir I want differential, I want analogue I/O etc etc so the CSMIO/IP-S or IP-A are what I would choose.
Lots of other controllers about theough, SmoothStepper, Kflop, PoKeys, UC100/300, DSPMC etc etc, but as said it all depends on what you want as some are perfect for small machines with steppers where others are beter for servo machines.

Hi Jay,
I'm running Win 7 64 bit with a UC100 USB controller on my laser machine. Never any problems.

Hi John, That's what I'm running also, and I haven't had any problems until I tried to split out some of the signals. Now my Gecko goes spastic sometimes. I was just trying to eliminate some electronics in the line. I am so close with this, I can taste it... well smell it anyway ;)

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
