I use 1" x 1" cable ducts in my control panel and although they make the wiring much better looking and easier to run I have a heck of a time to remove their covers after I install them.
When I first installed the ducts, I put the covers on just to see how it looks / works and when I tried to remove the covers I had to use pliers to pull them off (I'm glad I had no wires inside)
For now the covers are off in case I want to add / revise the wiring but I wonder is there a trick or method to easily snap off the covers?

It depends on the style. Some just require brute force, others you need to push the sides in before pulling the cover off.

Push the cover hard towards one side, then lift on that side. Alternately pull on the cover on one corner then run a finger under the cover popping the base fingers loose as you go. Small shallow ones like you are using are the toughest. Deeper ones are much easier.

Thank you both, interesting
