Title: CNC Enclosure
Post by: Rkjohn on October 24, 2013, 02:00:06 AM
I am building an Enclosure for my CNC machine. It will be 48” x 36” x 30” high using ¼” acrylic plastic. There will be no doors and it will be sealed, the entire enclosure moves up to the ceiling when not in use. Attached to the back will be a 1550 CFM dust collector with a 4” hose.

I plan to cut ¼” slats in the front for intake air flow.

How many sq. inches will I need for good air flow so it doesn’t suck the sides in and takes out the max. amount of dust?

Thanks to all the engineers out there.
