Title: Restarting a JOB
Post by: vatso on October 23, 2013, 03:55:41 AM
Hi All

one of my power points tripped which runs the motors the Mach PC was still working and one so I thought all I would do it say continue job well what it did it try go to the origin of where the code started - I lifted the Z axis so it would clear the part but it dropped the Z Axis and moved directly to the start point destroying the part in the process.

How do I set it up that the X & Y move with the Z set to home when in such a situation?

thank you
Mark

I don't think this is very clear

Let me do this slower

The motors and controller tripped the Mach Pc still was running and gave and Estop Error

the spindle was at a co-ordinate and  5mm plunged into the part

I cleared the Estop error and lifted the Z axis to clear the part and hit start / cycle.

the Z Axis went back to -5mm and then tried to move to the starting point of the line of code it was at - all would have been perfect if the Z axis remained above the part how do I make that happen in future?

thanks
Mark

I have also been having this issue. Did you find a fix or can anyone suggest something to stop the Z from moving first and crashing into the piece?
