Title: CAD CAM Software Advice
Post by: Cazza on August 06, 2013, 12:58:48 AM
Hi Everyone! New to the forum - have a very basic question. We have a CNC Plasma and Mach 3 operating system. My husband uses this for HVAC and uses Design2Fab software however I will be doing signage, engraving etc. Any suggestions/ advice on which CAD CAM software  I should consider? Thanks!

There are so many different CAD / CAM software's to choose from but I think that the Vectric range offers excellent value for money. http://www.vectric.com/
And, as you would expect, they have demo versions and video tutorials so you can 'try before you buy'.

I just started using CamBam and I am very pleased with how it works. Down load the demo and use it up to 40 times before buying it. Surprisingly powerful for the money and the methodology seems to be very easy to grasp.

IF you are doing plasma I would suggest SheetCam. It has a plasma MODE that is very plasma specific.
