Title: Gecko Drive and A axis indexer question
Post by: P_D_B on June 15, 2013, 08:27:16 PM
I want to get a Gecko 203V for the A axis I am building.  My question is how does Mach send the signals, would I need to get the CW\CCW drive rather than the standard Step\Dir?

Thanks in advance.

The G203V takes standard Step/Dir signals from Mach3. The A axis (rotary) is driven similar to the standard XYZ linear axes except the movement is specified in degrees rather than inches or mm.

To turn clockwise  increase the angular value i.e. A45 moves the axis to the 45 deg position.

Cheers,
