Title: Manual movement of Stepper motors w/o power

 ???Short of disassembling my ProMax 42 router, is there any way to mannually move my steppers off of the limit switches.
All of my attempts to override and jog have not worked.  Thanks for any input.

Have you gone to the settings page and enabled auto limits override?  Are you able to reference the machine successfully?

Brett... I have tried have tried the "Auto Limit Override" no success.
My current thinking is to remove the stepper motors to see if I can manually move the axis off the limit switch.

I have seen the auto limits override not work if the homing routine gets interrupted.  I have sent you a PM.

If Mach HAS got it's knickers in a twist, before I'd remove the steppers (seems a bit drastic) I'd be inclined a) to disable limits in ports and pins (takes 5 seconds) b) re-install Mach (takes a minute) c) disconnect the switches at the BOB (takes...gotta be less than removing steppers).

 :) Good news on this end.  With help from Brett, I got movement from my stepper motors from the first time.  I needed to enable some additional software setting.
This is a major break through.  I think I'm on the road to using Mach3.  Thanks to those who have offered suggestions.

 ??? Bad News again...
Accidentally moved my y axis into its limit switch.  This has killed all movement of the machine.  Have checked the auto-Override on the setting page with no results.  Just dead in the water.  I was actually able to run a couple of programs yesterday(just cutting air).
Think I'll go take a nap.

If you attach your xml I will take a look and see if there is an issue with it.

Go into Config and UNCHECK the limits for X and Y.

Restart Mach3 and you should be able to carefully back off the physical limit switches. NOTE at this point you will NOT have limit switch protection.

To expound on Terri's thought make sure that when you attempt to jog off the limit you use a slow speed and jog the correct direction. (Don't ask how I know)
