Title: Lower spindle speed needed
Post by: Garfield on May 30, 2013, 02:57:01 AM
Hello, i have the problem, my spindle starts at 1200 rpm, because the frequency converter needs a dc signal, i switched by a relay. The relay starts at a minimum speed at 1200 by mach 3. Is there a way to change the value, so my relay switched at 600 rpm, and not at 5% auf the max speed of 24000 rpm. I need lower speed for edgefinder...

Can't you just use an M03 to fire the relay so the signal is on and then command a S value for the rpm?

I have seen, it is no mach problem, but tripple beast, because there a 3 pins and 4 signals, so it switches relais, if pwm is over 10%
I can only let watchdog or current reduction unplugged, then there is a pin free for directly switch relais...the mechanical edgefinder runs on 600rpm and my spindle in this configuration starts at 1200rpm, is this a problem for the edgefinder?

I would check with you r edgefinder manufacturer to see what teh max speed is. I would think that 12 would be ok but what do I know.
