Title: recomend a relay?
Post by: guynamedbathgate on February 12, 2007, 09:05:21 AM
got my mill up and running but I have yet to instal relays on the flood coolant and spindle on off.
was wondering if any one could recommend some relays that would work and maybe a simple drawing the best way to wire them. new to this so Im not even sure where to begin so I want to keep it simple.
 ;)

I like to use Zero crossing SSR's. they are about 14.00 each and will take the full load of the pump (up to 10-20 amps)

I go the last one from MSC (I had to make the order for some other stuff at the same time)

would this one work?
http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/item/SRLY-18/500/18_AMP_SOLID-STATE_RELAY,_3-15VDC_CONTROL_.html

how exactly would I wire it. it sais up to 240vac. but it looks to only have terminals for in 2 pairs of wires( Im guessing control and power)?
thanks
