Title: Mach 3 Demo Install: "Illegal Instruction"
Post by: DennisPC on March 19, 2013, 04:48:29 PM
Hi Everyone,

I am very new to the world of CNC. I am trying to setup a MaxNC router table outfitted with a Probotix 4 axis kit. I am running Windows XP Professional 32-Bit. When I try to run the Mach3 installer (downloaded from machsupport.com) I get the following error:

Now, does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Any suggestions on possible solutions?

Thanks

Maybe try installing to the default C drive?

Dennis,
I don't know if this relates, but maybe.

I did a Google for it and it can be related to a few things but most likely is you may have a trojan.

Ya I came to a similar conclusion from my research. However, it is strange because I downloaded the file from machsupport.com.

I think its more likely that you have a trojan on the computer and when installing Mach it is being started.
