Title: control emergency LED (LED19) with mach3
Post by: pishtak on March 13, 2013, 03:41:43 AM
hi,

i'm newbie in mach3 and pokeys. i have had no issues with general setup of pokeys56E in mach3.
first little problem i have is with controlling leds.

I would like to have a LED which is ON when mach3 is in emergency mode.
so I connected LED to pin1 of pokeys56e (anode to +3v3 via 690R resistor, cathode to pin1).
configured pokeys56e for LED19 as in enclosed picture (LED19.jpg) and it doesn't work. LED is always OFF.

I tried with LED67 (offline indicator) and it is working fine. LED is changing status (ON/OFF)
when clicking offline button.

any advice ?

PS: i'm using mach3 v3.043.066 (currently only demo) and latest pokeys56e software.

Try using the OEM LED 800, "Reset LED"

hi,

OEM LED800 works :-) When in reset state (Emergency switch activated) LED is blinking.
Thanks !

Any idea when the OEM LED 19 can/should be used ?

LED800 reflects the Mach3's internal emergency state. I am not sure how the LED 19 is handled.
