Title: Is it in Mach or Aspire to pause for the spindle to ramp up.
Post by: SailFl on March 03, 2013, 11:12:08 AM
I just added a spindle to my MechMate and when I run a file it starts cutting before the spindle is ready.  Is there a place in Mach or do I need to do it in my Aspire post processor to add a delay to give the spindle time to ramp up to the cut speed before it starts cutting?

Thanks

In Mach3, Ports and Pins, Spindle tab, bottom center of the screen. CW spin up I think

Gerry

I saw that and I misread it.  Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for.  Do you have any suggestions for a good time?

Depends on how your spindle is set up. I use 5 seconds with a Super-Pid controlled router.

Gerry,

Thanks.  It sounds like a good number to start with.
