Title: new cnc router
Post by: nubair on February 26, 2013, 07:40:53 AM
Hello to all community!

First of all i want to say that i am completely noob of cnc routers.

I recently bought a cnc router from china.
Working size 300mm*400mm,1500w watercooled spindle and JC3A Stepper.
They send me also 2 programs(mach3 and artcam).
They send me a something like manual but doesnt worth to talk about it.

And now the problems starts.
First of all my pc didn't have parallel so i bought one PCIe to parallel.
So i connect the router to parallel and i change the metric system to mm.
After that ,i went to ports/pin section of mach3 and checked the ports.
At port of printer(0378) for some reason nothing works.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/515/28383043.jpg/
So i tried to check the other ports of the card.
Finally i made it work when i put the i/o range on PCIe to multi parallel.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/89/72695939.jpg/
When i made this the motors of router start working.
Is this correct setup??This is a img of diagnostics tab on mach3.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/171/95522974.jpg/

Next problem is when the motors reach to end of rail that they are moving they continue to work.
How can i set a limit on motors so when the reach the edge to stop working?

Sry if i write down too much and drive you crazy but i dont know what to do.
