Title: No jog control during toolchange
Post by: pshutton on February 06, 2013, 12:38:49 PM
After switching computers and changing from XP to Vista 32bit.  I tried to keep everything in setup the same. Now when my G-code calls for toolchange, the system stops but I have no control to jog or move anything except to Zero.  I know it must be a setting but I have been unable to find it.  Any Ideas??  Thanks

General config, top left, what tool change option is enabled?

Brett Thanks, but I have tried all the settings in the tool change options.  I have uninstalled Mach 3 and reinstalled it. I have gone through and checked every setting.  I can find no reason for this problem. I am wondering if my G-code may be flawed.

What screen page are you on? You can only jog if the screen page has a jog on/off button, or if the jog flyout is open.

I am on the run program screen page. If I click STOP I have the ability to jog. I cannot move or zero the Z axes at the toolchange point unless it stop the program.

That is how it is supposed to work.  If you are running Gcode you can't jog around.  You have to hit stop because it is still running in automatic (executing gcode)  If you need to do a special routine during a tool change (M6) you will have to write a custom macro or 2.  They will be your M6Start and/or M6End.
