Title: XBOX Controller not working
Post by: ajl53 on February 01, 2013, 06:20:23 PM
Hello,
Just purchased an official Microsoft wired xbox contoller. Installed the drivers and directx and Windows XP sees the contoller
and says all is working properly. Downloaded the plugin from the Downloads portion of this site and installed in the Mach plugins folder.
Mach does not see the plugin and does not have any error messages. I removed all but the downloaded file from the folder and
Mach still cannot see the plugin...
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Art

Attached is the file I downloaded...Is it correct???

Did you double click the file so that it installs itself?
Have you chosen to enable the plugin from Config menu then Config Plugins?

Hey Art, how're you liking your XBOX gizmo?  Funny, I never dreamed I'd have any interest in using one but using the mouse & keyboard for everything is getting old.  The various other "real" CNC gizmos cost more than my budget allows so I may want to try one.

It's "ok"..I have to play with it a little more to really get comfortable with it...For now I have both connected.
It seems right now that I have better "fine" control with the keyboard.

OK, thanks.  I may give one a whirl later since son-in-law has XBOX stuff to spare.

It'll take me a while to learn what does what since believe it or not, I haven't had a game controller in my hands since an Atari back in the day.  (Showing my age now.)  Still got one up in the attic.  Probably dead as hammer with all the caps dried up.
