Title: Inch to Metric
Post by: Sheriff20 on December 24, 2012, 09:11:33 PM
I have a file to cut and the cad file that I imported to Cambam was a metric file. I need to be able to cut it on my machine and need to know what I need to do to get it done.

I have attached the gcode and dxf file

Thanks to anyone who could help

You could change the "G20" at the beginning of your gcode file to "G21" and it may cut correctly.

Open the DXF file in CamBam, select All, right click and select ' transform ' then ' resize ' then select 'preserve aspect ratio' and click on ' mm to inch '

Hope this helps..

When setting up Mach3 personal profile can you do two, One for mm and one for inches and them not interfere with each other.

Thanks
