Title: Strange 8 second delay on M03
Post by: shobley on December 05, 2012, 11:42:09 AM
Whilst configuring my new spindle I seem to have introduced a delay on spindle start (M03) of about 8 seconds.
I've since disabled the spindle control plugin and reset all the config values back the way they were, but the delay seems to persist.

Sometimes it triggers a watchdog timer and reset.

Any ideas how I can get back to normal operation?

Thanks,
Steve

You mention the spindle control plugin, what plugin are you using?
Could it be a delay on General Config page you have set?

It was the "new" plugin for the Huanyang vfd.

I will go back and check the General Config page, but I'm pretty sure I cleared all the values I entered.

Ok dont know of that plugin, wondering however if it has written the delay to the xml and even though you did away with the plugin the delay has persisted. You could try setting maybe a 1 second delay in General Config and see if the delay is reduced, if it is then go back in and set to zero and see.

I can check on that later today - it doesn't stop me from working, but just delays things a bit ;-)
