Title: Mach3 Milling Help
Post by: beise1m on December 01, 2012, 10:01:17 PM
Hello,
I am an amateur CNC user.  We kind of fell into a machine for a good price and enjoy using it for recreation.  We basically just use v-carve to make signs in wood.  Just today we had problems with our Mach3 program (at least I think).  We run our G-codes that have worked in the past and some new ones, but now on the longer codes it seems that the Y-axis 0 changes and it moves the whole code up about an inch.  On one cut it moved 2 times after our original 0.  Our X and Z seem to stay the same just our Y changes.  Any ideas?

If you could attach your .xml file (it is in your Mach3 folder and named [the profile that you are using] .xml). Rename it ‘beise.xml’ click on ‘Reply’ and select ‘Additional Options’ to attach it to your reply.
This gives the information on your machine settings and may throw some light on identifying your problem.
