Title: Servo direction
Post by: kvnnos on November 28, 2012, 11:09:21 AM
Hello,

I have DSPMC V2. How i can give direction to inverter that have two digital inputs, one for each direction? I use Mach3. I know that Mach3 use pulse for step/dir but i have inverter with 2 digital inputs for direction and one analog 0-10V to control the speed of servomotor.

Thank you

I found this.

Does anybody used it?

What is the make and model of the drive/inverter that you are trying to run.
If it is a standard VFD, you use the analog output from the DSPMC to control the speed. You then assign 2 outputs from the DSPMC to give forward and reverse.

I use ActiveCube inverter from Bonfiglioli (not step/dir controlled).

DSPMC need encoder for feedback if i use analog output and I don't have. I have closed loop servo - inverter with resolver.

I will try without encoder feedback.
