Hey,
Is anyone using Mach for 2 and 4 axis Wire EDM controls?
I built an interface for a guy who does, HotWire foam cutting, (4
axis), and I am trying to write to it, with a Wire CAM software.
Some questions are:
How are you using Wire Angle, and Wire angle comp? (G41,42)
Are you using Scaling (G51) for 2D angle cuts and if so, how are you
then writing to your "U, V" axis? If you CAM only outputs X, Y, U
and V, how have you translated the U and V to A and Z?
What M Code are you using for Wire feed on/off and amount, or, are
you just using spindle in place of it, with Spindle speed for wire
feed rates?
