Title: Z Axis only travels in 1 direction
Post by: TNTRacing on July 22, 2012, 02:24:13 AM
I just purchased a KX1, to get started in hobby CNC, after setting it up to test the motors I found movement on all axis except the +Z. Ive switched out the drivers on the machine and checked all wiring. Ive traced it back to either the parrallel port or the software/comp issue.

Has anyone else experienced this issue??? What was the final resolution?

Im not familiar with Mach3 so Im hoping it is an inproper setting or configuration issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your motor configuration for the Z axis. Make sure you have the correct pins selected for Step & Direction.
If the Direction pin is not being toggled then z will only move in one direction.
What configuration are you using?
