Post by: otpco on July 20, 2012, 07:06:45 PM
Hi all I need some ideas for mu moog project . I need to park the spindle at a n exact rotational spot . Maybee adding another  optical index sensor and somehow hooking it to the VDF and doing a jog or something .I am fishing for ideas thanks mark

Probably the easiest way would be to use a shot pin of some sort if you can mount such a thing. You would rotate the spindle slowly and release the pin and whan it came round to the hole it would pop in and lock the spindle. You could have a limit switch to show when it was engaged (and disengaged) and that could then be used to stop the VFD.

Drawbar works on air using all the original bits but no oil
