Title: C3 - Index Pulse Card
Post by: PerEklof on July 03, 2012, 03:34:20 AM
Hi!

I just bought the C3 - Index Pulse Card and I will use it to get the index pulse from the spindle.
But how do get the signal to Mach3??

In the manual to C3 it says:
"Easy connections. Just put the Photo-Transistor in place, connect the board to the power supply, and attach the signal output to an input pin from the parallelport."

Can I just open the cover to the parallelport-cable and use a free pin and set the correct pin in Mach3?

My controller, http://www.optimum-machines.com/products/cnc-pc-controls-complete-and-adapter-kit/6/cnc-controller-iii-and-vi/index.html, has no input pins.

Open the box and take some pictures of the cards inside, then post them here using the 'Additional Options', we may be able to then tell you where to connect the C3 into.

Hi!

Thank you for your reply.
This is what the controller looks like inside. There are also the cards for each axis and the main power supply.
