Hi folks, having some trouble and need some advise.
Just got my small 20x26 router up and running, and I'm having trouble with Mach3.
Everything worked fine with LMC2, so I'm pretty sure wiring is correct.
Issues -
1. When Jogging X and Y, axis moves in same direction when pressing +/-
2. Z axis doesn't move at all
3. Motors are screaming at me
About the drivers and build -
XYdrive XD14 bob
XYdrive XD8 drivers
Step Time - Min. 1u
Step Space - Min. 1u
Direction Hold - Min. 200us
Direction Setup - Min. 200us
Motors -
Vexta Nema 23 PK266-02A
2 Phase 1.8 /step
PSU 24v switching 12.6 amp
Acme thread 1/10 single start
Any assistance is appreciated!

Hi Yesd0g,
I think you need to check your pin assignments for step and direction (ports and pins) also reduce your Velocity and Acceleration settings (motor tuning).
Do you have the recommended settings in your machine manual ??

Thanks Tweakie.
The machine is a home build, so no recommended settings other than the attached screen shots. I'm pretty sure the pin assignments are right...
Here's a video of the axis running with LMC2.

Somewhat hard to decipher, but I believe this is the part of the XML where the motor assignments are.
<Motor0Active>1</Motor0Active>
<Motor0DirNeg>0</Motor0DirNeg>
<Motor0DirPort>1</Motor0DirPort>
<Motor0DirPin>2</Motor0DirPin>
<Motor0StepNeg>0</Motor0StepNeg>
<Motor0StepPort>1</Motor0StepPort>
<Motor0StepPin>1</Motor0StepPin>
<Motor1Active>1</Motor1Active>
<Motor1DirNeg>0</Motor1DirNeg>
<Motor1DirPort>1</Motor1DirPort>
<Motor1DirPin>4</Motor1DirPin>
<Motor1StepNeg>0</Motor1StepNeg>
<Motor1StepPort>1</Motor1StepPort>
<Motor1StepPin>3</Motor1StepPin>
<Motor2Active>1</Motor2Active>
<Motor2DirNeg>0</Motor2DirNeg>
<Motor2DirPort>1</Motor2DirPort>
<Motor2DirPin>6</Motor2DirPin>
<Motor2StepNeg>0</Motor2StepNeg>
<Motor2StepPort>1</Motor2StepPort>
<Motor2StepPin>5</Motor2StepPin>

So on the bob, the corresponding pins assignments are:
All on comms port 1
x-step 1
x-dir 2
y-step 3
y-dir 4
z-step 5
z-dir 6
x-enable 14
y-enable 16
z-enable 17

Hi Yesd0g,
OK, from your information it looks like your ports and pins are configured correctly (it is just unusual to use pin1 for motor control).
Now I would try - in Ports and Pins select Sherline 1/2 pulse mode, restart and see if this makes any difference. Also make sure Kernel Speed is set to 25000Hz.
Hope this helps.

Hi Wagner,
Xydrive Automation LLC are probably not the best business to try and buy from - there are much better devices available, with better support etc. Perhaps look at the CNC4PC site http://www.cnc4pc.com/Store/osc/index.php or the Gecko site http://www.geckodrive.com/products-order.html - both have a much better track record.

It looks like they only sell through Ebay, and have nothing listed currently.
If I recall correctly, I had saved them as a seller several years ago. Last time I looked, it didn't appear that they were still selling products.

Hi Wagner,
Sorry I can't be of more help but...
The XYDrive website was taken down some time ago and the business seems to have closed.
Personally I would junk the XYDrive stuff and fit new parts.
