Title: EMCOTURN 140 Lathe conversion
Post by: tpmx on May 17, 2012, 09:09:14 PM
I started a different post about my lathe conversion but for some reason I can no longer get into it.
I have been working on getting modbus controlling a Hitachi x200.
I am to the point where when I test modbus in mach3  can open the port with no errors.
I need to know now how to go about writing to the coils to start and stop the spindle from the modbus setup test page,
I must be doing something wrong as I get a Error E12
and not sure were to go from here

I have Modbus working now put can not get a clockwise spindle rotation.
I can start and stop the spindle but only the one direction.
Anyone have any ideas?
Also forget the cheap Ebay rs232 convertors and buy a decent one in the states.
Around $25 plus shipping and save yourself 1 big headache
