Title: cnc4pc.com touch probe! Anyone?!
Post by: diyengineer on May 15, 2012, 04:24:07 AM
cnc4pc.com Touch and Tool Probe W 1/4 Shaft.

Anyone used one yet? I have played around with the auto touch off tool in mach but not the touch probe yet. I want to touch a simple object and plot its points, even possibly get that model into solidworks some how.

Any links, code, etc will be great!

Thanks!

Received my tough probe. attempting to get it to work but the green digitizing light in mach 3 is stuck on. i have the port and pin right, but its simply not responding. Also the red led isn't lighting up when triggered.
I have it hooked to a c48 probe board from cnc4pc.com

Refer to post 1565. Shows how to setup probe in mach 3 and using a C48 probe board. You may not need the external resistor. The on board resistor should work, mine did not.

Just wondering how the touch probe is doing.  I've been looking at it for awhile now.
I see that Arnie's site is no longer around as well.
