Title: TB6560 MILL/LATHE
Post by: GRAYHIL on May 09, 2012, 03:48:45 AM
Hi all
My mach 3 Mill is working fine on all 4 axis on my lathe (X,Y,Z,A) with a vertical slide and the chuck as a tool holder. I intend to fit a pulse generator soon.
I want to be able to screwcut on Mach 3 Turn but cannot sort out the pin numbers to make the machine respond. The DRO,s on Mach 3 Turn respond correctly but with no axis movement.
Does anyone know the correct pin assignments?
Graham

If I am understanding what you are asking then I would say the pinouts should be the same as your mill profile.

Thanks Hood
Will try it again tomorrow. I had tried that but it did not work but will try again and check everything.
I presume I will only need to copy x and z pins?

Yes, assuming what you are calling X and Z at the moment are what you will want to be X and Z in Turn. Make sure you have entered the Port number to the right, its often overlooked.

A good day both axis are now working in the Mach 3 turn.
Had to input manually all the pins/ports from Mach 3 mill including Y and A axis and check them carefully its amazing how you miss a tick or number.
Without the Y and A only the X axis worked to start with.
Thank You
