Title: PWM analogue 0-10V need help
Post by: Mad Welder on May 03, 2012, 03:58:44 PM
Hi all again,

I got no reply to my previous post so I thought I'd try again.....

I'm in the process of wiring my VFD to Mach via C32 bob from CNC4PC.....but at present I've not been able to progress, while I am registering 2.5V on my multi-meter at the VFD analogue 0-10V terminals when I enter an M3 comand in MDI and respectively an M5 will switch off the voltage reading on the meter, at least I'm doing something correct.....but no matter what settings I input into Mach3 regarding pulley ratios max speed PWM % increase I cannot increas this analogue voltage reading from 2.5V to 10V, so therefore I will only get 25% of the max speed when I connect my VFD.....

I'd really appreciate advice here guy's, how or where am I inputting incorrect info..???

Hi Mad Welder,

Just a snip from the C32 manual - "Requirements: It requires a +12VDC@50mA power supply to operate".

Don't know if this helps but it was just a thought.

Many thanks for the reply, and yup I've the 12VDC PSU connected to the X1 terminal of the C32 bob.......

and I've just sorted the problem it was a bit of a head scratcher for me as I'm unfamiliar with this whole electronics and software setup but in the SS plugin config window I inputted a check in the Step and Dir box as opposed to the PWM.....

I am pleased you got it sorted.  :)  (more pictures required of the excellent things you make, please - that Epiphone is great).
