Title: PCI cards
Post by: graemeian on April 11, 2012, 09:24:01 PM
I am fabricating a CNC lathe assembly system. I would like to use a National Instruments DIO 32HS digital input/output PCI card. This card is a high speed and it has more I/O pins. I want to add more features other than CNC machining (4 axis). I remember the earlier versions of windows where one could start with the primary address of the card and communicate with all of the ports. Can this be done with this card using windows XP or 7? I have the core drivers for the card.
Thank you in advance.

Oops! I want to use this card with the Mach3 software. I should not watch TV and type at the same time.

As far as I know, this is not an emulator for a parallel port. It will not work with Mach.

Cheers

Sorry but that card is NOT compatible with MACH3. Unless you wirte an interface plugin.
