Hi all
Has anyone done a conversion on a Denford micro-router.
The one that has the stand alone tower with all the drivers in it.
-
I have, what would you like to know.
-
I am looking to purchase one
I have the option to get one with the black tower that I think has all the original drive boards and speed controller.
I was thinking of getting it to run of Mach3
How much of the old gear would be usable.
I have got it into my head that I just need to find out what pins are used on the rs32 plug
-
depending on which controller is inside will define the best way to convert to Mach3. You'll need a breakout board and possibly a 0-10v isolated control board.
-
Ok
How would I know the defining factor any identification or visual check
the 0-10v control board, is that for the speed control of cutter motor
-
a pic showing the inside of the black box should do, and yes the 0-10 is for the speed control. If you want a chat about it, i'll pm you my contact numbers.
-
Yes please to numbers
Software VR2.14
Model V3
That's all the details I have for it
-
pm'ed.
-
I was to slow machine now sold
-
that's a shame, if i hear of anything like it i'll let you know.

Angel tech
I have pm ed you

OK hear we go
I have now got a very clean looking Microrouter.
I would have preferred to use the original software to run it, just for easiness and a simple none hassle go at it.
This seems not to be the best way forward.
So it looks like Mach3 conversion is going to be the best way forward.
The machine came with the original wiring layout diagrams.
I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with electronics or wiring.
I need to know what pins to connect in to and speed control set up
-
Hi Angel tech
These are the diagrams that came with the machine
-
and one more
I am waiting for a suitable roll cabinet for it to sit on so I can move it around whilst doing update to it.
So have not been able to gain access to rear of machine,so have posted a copy of the original drawings that came with machine
