Title: Tool Compensation
Post by: jeffreykh54 on March 18, 2012, 10:24:58 PM
I need some help. I am new user. In LazyCam I write code to cut a 4 inch square. when I load the code to Mach and run the program the square is not 4 inches it is smaller. I assume it has something to do with tool compensation but can not figure it out. in lazy cam I put the tool diameter and it does not compensate properly...Can someone help me please

You are meaning that you make a 4" square in CAD.
Now you have two choices in LC, namely to machine on the  profile lines,  or create an offset either side of the lines. All that is based on what tool you defined
and the results could be a smaller or larger square when cut.

There is a manual for LC in members Docs.
