Title: Big Tool?
Post by: Greolt on January 01, 2007, 06:44:32 PM
On the Quantum video there is a screen called "Big Tool"

Is this a Quantum thing?  Or is it some version of Mach?  Is it in an optional screen set?

I did search about this but came up squint.  ;D

Basically its just a screen with a big view of the toolpath, if you so wished you could make this up for mach. I think the purpose of it is to allow the "scope" to be viewed better while S Curve is being developed.

I haven't even looked at the process of building my own screens for Mach

So much to learn.   :)  Hardly scratched the surface yet.

There is a video giving the basics of doing a screen in screen4 and also Benny has done a few on how to make png buttons etc.

Yo Hood!

Do you know how to get that Scope to display?  When I try to open the video window I get an error that says 'Video Driver unable to install"?

Thanks,
Sid

Are you meaning in Quantum? if yes then go to the Operator  menu and choose velocity scope in toolpath. If you are trying to use scope in Mach3 then I think that will be your problem ;)
