Title: just had to reload mach 3 now I am having problems setting my limits up
Post by: alonzo83 on February 14, 2012, 04:10:46 PM
I had the machine almost operational; homing switches worked, estop worked, limit switches worked, all the axis where calibrated,  but I was getting an open gl error, had to install a video card, and reinstall mach 3.

Now I am having a heck of a time getting mach 3 to auto setup on the ports and pins, anybody have any suggestions as to why mach 3 is not recognizing my input signals?

Thank you, Alonzo

Hood, I found a file for the mill and read your previous posting regarding bench testing parallel ports, but for the life of me I do not see an option on this forum that says additional options. . .

Scratch that comment, I just found the additional options I will attach the file later on today.

Thank you

Dont see anything abnormal with your xml so a few questions.
Are your axis working?
Have you tried manually setting up the limits?
Sounds to me like your problems may be either cable or BOB related, if you have a voltmeter check to see if the switches are working correctly and then see if the signal is passing through the BOB for them.

I am really having issues with this learning curve.

The e-stop was set to pin 0 after I changed it to pin 1 everything fell into place. Limit, home, and e-stop are now working like a swiss clock.

Thank you Hood.
