Post by: JED022660 on February 08, 2012, 05:26:12 PM
FIRST OF ALL THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ANSWERS MY POST, YOU HAVE BEEN A GREAT HELP!!!

M question for the day is;  I am trying to engrave Mfg's ID & SN's on Aluminum parts.  I have selected the font and size, have generated the g code, and have dry run the program.  the issue is that my engraving tool is traveling along the outline of the letters in the text.  I need ti scribe over or engrave ON the line of the text as opposed to the outline.  Please help!  Thanks again!!!!!! ???

Perhaps you inadvertantly chose to OFFSET in LCam ?
Otherwise, it should cut ON the lines.

You need single line fonts. Try using Stickfont. http://www.ncplot.com/freetools.htm

How about the Write Wizzard. It will give you one line at a time.
