Hi
I have recently finished the building stage of what I hope will be my home workshop CNC router table. The table has a cutting area of 37 x 25 inches and is built to the plans in David Steele's book "CNC Router Plans (plans for inexpensive cnc router tables)".
I have purchased a package from Xylotex which includes 269 oz in steppers, driver and power supply and have downloaded Mach 2 as an operating system.
I now find myself at somewhat of a loss as to what to do next.
Is there anyone that has built a table from these plans and is running similar motors etc. that can assist with the setting up and wiring required to get this thing actually cutting stuff???
I am a newcommer to the world of cnc, I know little about cnc machinery and even less about the Mach 2 software.
Many thanks
Lawrie

Why didn't you go with Mach 3, latest version? We will help what we can.

Thanks guys
Having downloaded and licenced Mach2 can I now download Mach3 and use it under the same licence? If so which version would you recommend?

Use Mach3 :)
I can't setup mach2 anymore :(

Hey Lawrie,
I would go with Mach 3 version 2.0.030. It is the latest. The licenses for Mach 2 will work with Mach 3.
