Title: How to force MACH not accelerate in the middle of engraving ?
Post by: bluewave65 on January 11, 2012, 01:49:54 PM
Hi,

Engraving require constant speed in all lenght of the scanning line except start and stop
Did anybody know how to force mach to not accelerate between engraving line start and stop ?

Dave

You can't, unless you know how to defy the laws of physics.

Sounds like you need to increase your acceleration rate.

I don`t understand your answer ......

I don`t want a eliminate acceleration ! Just in the middle of laser engraving !

If you have corners anywhere in your engraving, the machine will have to decelerate and accelerate. The best thing you can do is play with the CV settings to get it as smooth as possible.

Just quick question to clarify: is it pausing midle of movement if you command axis using mdi?
If it is, then do you have backlash comp enabled?
If ansver is yes then try whitout comp. It maybe curable lovering shuttle acceleration setting and tuning backlash speed.
