Title: Single Line Fonts (Stick Fonts).
Post by: Tweakie.CNC on December 14, 2011, 10:20:10 AM
‘Single line fonts’ is a subject that keeps coming up and has never really been resolved. Most if not all of the quality fonts are associated with their respective software programs and are not, in themselves, available separately.
The single line TTF fonts available with CamBam were separated at some time or another and although they are perhaps not for commercial use without license they do crop up on various sites with a download option. This is one such site http://www.mrrace.com/CamBam_Fonts/ (http://www.mrrace.com/CamBam_Fonts/) (thanks to G.R.)

Thanks Guys,

Now I have purchased Vectric I have all the fonts I need but I still remember when I first started out just how difficult it was to find a (free) single line typeface so, just like you, I hope this posting helps some newcomers to the CNC world of engraving.  :)

Tweaks, I never have enough fonts.

It's always about finding the right font for the right job. Sometimes finding just the right font is the longest part of setting up and running the whole job!  :D

Hi Dave,

I must be the lucky one because all my engraving is functional rather than decorative and although my customers get to specify the finished size of the notice they get what they are given when it comes to font.  ;D

Yep, wish it was like that for me. Would make life a lot simpler.

Of course, I have helped myself a bit as I've made a pdf file for "examples" so that I lure them into what I think they should have.  ;D
